HICO continues to diversify but at its core it is responsible for the long-term sustainable farming of its land. The land is in various environmental schemes which are targeted at improving the biodiversity which is increasingly threatened.

The fruit business is now heavily focused apple production with the land tenanted to Bardsley Farms, with the fruit mainly marketed and sold through the big supermarkets.

Redundant farm buildings at Highland Court Farm are now home to a number of small businesses; a lively and creative mix of artisan production and offices. The farm is also home to The Night Yard a thriving wedding venue, operated by a HICO subsidiary company.
